Stay up until 4am and you may get Westminster results

JUST over three hours into the count Westminster has already recorded one of highest turnouts on record.

At 1.15am council chief executive Mike More announced that provisional turnout figures for the two seats being contested in the borough had reached an historical high.

The initial estimates were 59.9 per cent for Westminster North and 55.47 per cent for the Cities of London and Westminster

"These are historically turnouts for this constituency and central London," said Mr More.
