Harlesden: Footballer faces life sentence for 'Playboy' murder
A footballer who shot dead his childhood friend during a gangland feud on an estate is facing a life sentence.
Former Millwall striker Gavin Grant, 25, executed 21 year-old Leon Labastide for showing 'disrespect', initially was sparked, detectives believe, by a trivial motorcycle accident on the Stonebridge Estate.
Grant was arrested at the time of the 2004 killing but was not charged until Britain's first black-on-black supergrass agreed to help police in return for a cut in his sentence.
