Plenty of gain for Paine

WILLESDEN CC's Jayne Paine picked up a gold medal for the points race and three silvers in the UK Track Masters at Chepstow.

Paine's silver medals came in the scratch, 500m time trial and the pursuit, while Willesden clubmate Gill Reynolds was also in time trial action over the past week.

Reynolds recorded a time of 24 minutes 16 seconds to finish as second fastest woman at the CC Breckland 10-mile event in Norfolk and then completed the Crabtree Wheelers 10 at Andover in a creditable 24:29.

Pete Cookson also rode at Andover, clocking 23:06, while Lance Woodman was the fastest Willesden rider to finish the Charlotteville 10 at Farnham in 1:01.32. Russell O'Malley crossed the line in 1:00.56, with Chris James and Brian Moon finishing in 1:07.40 and 1:10.46 respectively.
