Cosmos searching for new stars
KILBURN Cosmos will hold try-outs to talent scout rugby stars of the future ahead of the new season.
The trials at Gladstone Park on Saturday July 17 are open to those from school years 7, 8, 9 and 10 and will include testing for speed, power and strength.
The Cosmos youth set-up has already proved its talent, winning the 2009-2010 Under-14s Division Six championship with an undefeated league run. The side earned promotion and will have two youth teams in the competition from September.
Cosmos and Middlesex under-14s coach Greg Forster said: "The try-out day will be all about giving new players and local youngsters an insight into rugby. Rugby is great fun and the try-out day will be no different!"
The try-outs begin at 10am at the Anson Road entrance and will last for approximately two hours. Coaches will answer questions throughout.
